I've found that with these trucks the floor shift isn't bad depending on if you have a center passenger or not and how far forward you have the seat. You may find with the seat full forward and a center passenger you'll be all up in their crotch. My old 78 F100 was even worse than the C/K trucks as it angled back over the seat more and had a larger throw than most GM stuff did. First gear you'd almost punch the dash and reverse was almost in the passenger by the doors knee 2nd and 4th were about 3-4 inches off the seat directly in the center passenger's junk.

Mine is just an ammo can from HF with some cupholder inserts added. Should have some room to move it back with your bench seat

Mines an auto and with the center consol/center seat all the way back and my bucket all the way forward mine needs relocated as it was installed when the bench was still in it, so it needs to come back that's my reach without leaning forward.

Armrest and a place to hide my little trolley jack. Most of the nuts are just there to fill the hole but theres 2 that go all the way through the seat frame I can just spin off from underneath. Some people like it, some hate it.

Defiantly an interesting storage solution/arm rest but doesn't that get hot?

It fits the minimalist interior I like it.

Not that I've noticed. Spring and summer my arm is on the door with the window down. I tried to get the seats as low and far back as possible because I'm tall. I did drive it to work once with no seat once while I was working on it making the seat frame lol

6'6"
I wish the floor was flat. It would be perfect for me.

Back to cupholders. Kind of spendy but these but might work

I can't use a seat mounted console because it would interfere with dog sleeping area. (After he gets over the initial excitement of riding in the truck, he likes to stretch out full-length.) There's just no good place to put cup holders in my truck. I'm about to try a magnetized marine model stuck to the bottom of the driver's door. The bespoke seat bottom with integral cup holders looks like it would work fine, but the cost doesn't work for me.

This thread reminded me of an old story about floor shifters and clearances. Decades ago I was driving for Mayflower Van Lines. We were doing a local move, and the lady wanted to ride in the truck with me and Shorty, my helper. She climbed up and sat in the middle of the seat. That old International had a very long throw into reverse gear -- way over to the right and then far down and in. I put the truck in reverse, and my right hand wound up embarrassingly deep into the lady's private area. She gave me a big smile. Shorty didn't stop laughing about that for a week. I remember that one frequently when I throw the SM465 into reverse.
