I've found that with these trucks the floor shift isn't bad depending on if you have a center passenger or not and how far forward you have the seat. You may find with the seat full forward and a center passenger you'll be all up in their crotch. My old 78 F100 was even worse than the C/K trucks as it angled back over the seat more and had a larger throw than most GM stuff did. First gear you'd almost punch the dash and reverse was almost in the passenger by the doors knee 2nd and 4th were about 3-4 inches off the seat directly in the center passenger's junk.
