I'm wondering if his manifold doesn't have tge boss for the tip bracket so top bracket doesn't fit right but we are trying to make the bottom bracket fit a top bracket that isn't in the correct position. Look at the top bracket bolts inb2 of mine. 1 with the boss 1 without. Notice the piece of strap, bolted to the thermostat housing to local the alternator bracket. There's no boss on the manifold. Also a pic of my bottom bracket, compare it to yours,do they look the same?

If I remember correctly that stock style kit I listed uses a spacer and one of the intake bolts because not all of the manifolds have the boss. However, the correct spacers need to go in the correct places the one inch one on the manifold and the .5 inch one on the pump if the ear on the pump is in the forward position or set back.

Lightbulb moment @82sbshortbed

Doug if that is the same kit I listed are you using the manifold bolt at the very front near the water passage or putting it on the intake boss?

I have the other spacers too. But the top bracket doesn't line up with the intake bolt hole. There's definitely something weird about this that I'm not understanding why it doesn't line up. But everything else lines up at ac compressor and ps pump.

This hole is a manifold bolt the end one near the water crossover that goes into the head with the 1 inch spacer in-between.

Messing with this pos again. Noticed that when running the belt is not riding right as it comes off the pulley at the bottom.

Looks like I might just be better off buying the whole setup from Mr clean aka (one of the Karen's) and have it all put on by my mechanic. Because I've gotten so annoyed by this. I've tried everything i know to get it to work right to no avail.:banghead::biggun:

Whata PIA!!!!

That belt is too long and/or adjusted too loose.
