Where do these wires go?

I need some help. There is a connector behind the intake on the firewall that has two green wires coming out of it. One goes to the ac compressor. The other one isn’t attached to anything but is long enough to go to the passenger side. When I hooked it to power the blower motor turns on but I do t see where it would hook up to. The other wire is an orange wire that comes through the firewalll next to the fuse box. It is also long and has a unique plug end on it. I have included pics of each.

I don’t know what you are working on, so we can’t get you a wiring diagram. The second green wire is probably the IOC kick that goes to the carburetor idle solenoid. The second looks like an oil sending unit plug. Should attach to to the sensor behind the manifold by the fire wall. Third pic with the pink wire is probably a fuel gauge wire.

Orange is also the kickdown solenoid on the TH400 trucks.

Sorry. It’s a 79 k20. 350 engine with a 350 trans. I have a buddy that has a square body and his orange wire goes up front on the drivers side to a junction block for the brakes. Not sure what that would be for. Pic included. Also, why would the green wire turn on the blower motor when I attach it to power?

"That" orange wire on his is probably for the combination/proportioning valve on the brake system. Thought those were normally tan iirc. From the look of that boot on the orange wire, look as if it's for an electric oil pressure sending unit. Does your dash have an oil pressure gauge or light? Also if that is for the oil pressure sending unit, any chance that you've got a set of gauges installed with an oil pressure gauge in it? I could also be totally wrong, but don't tell my wife that I'm admitting to it lol.

According to jgonick’s schematic, the dark green wire goes to the ac compressor, which it does, and the other is for is for the throttle solenoid and should have 12 volt keyed power. It does not. It looks like on the schematic that it gets power from the fan switch. Is that why it turns the fan on when I connect it to power?

It will have 12 V key power only when the AC compressor is turned on.

The e IOC Kick (Idle on Command) is meant to increase rpms to compensate for the compressor load when you turn it on.

the voltage is coming from brn-50 wire going to selector switch (right side of picture) When A/C is selected on switch it goes through the light green 66 wire to the throttle solenoid (increases rpms)- light green wire also goes evap pressure control switch. - when the evap switch closes the voltage runs through the dark green wire to the compressor.

Hmm is that the same wire I cant find where it connects to: kickdown solenoid? if so, where does that bracket on the wire bolt to exactly and which side of my '79 K20 suburban tranny would i find the kickdown solenoid? Thank you
