Yes, I'm new. As new as a 65 year old gearhead can be.

I'm Curtis, in Spencer, Oklahoma. I have a '77 Scottsdale step side currently. I was rebuilding mid 60's Fords for a while, putting mild street performance motors in and flipping them (in the financial sense), and only losing a "little" money! That was fun for years, but too expensive for this recent retiree. SOOO...after selling the last one, I decided to get a plain old truck to haul my mower around and go to the dump once in a while. I found this '77 in Dallas on Marketplace with 57000 miles on it. It needed at least one valve guide seal, but other than that, it's pretty decent. ANYHOOO, I knew I could get a nice set of aluminum heads for the cost of a *ahem* "head job", and the next thing you know I'd hunted down a virgin '71 4 bolt main block and VIOLA! I'm back in the same damned situation! Slave to Jegs and Summit! Lying to my wife! "Yes Honey, a new manifold will help with the mileage." Sound familiar?

Won't hold that against you, working on Fords. Me I work on a fleet, medium duty trucks and all the light duty trucks are Fords. I thank the Lord every day for Fords, job security for me!
