Spare tire mounted under the front bumper?

I need a spot to mount my 37" spare tire, preferably outside the vehicle.

Any ideas?

Not my cup of tea but that's just an opinion. You'd have to make sure the steering doesn't contact it.

I suspect it will look like the tailgate of the pickup if the spare carrier isn't there. Perhaps they can even use the same trip piece for both. I doubt it. The Traveler has a spilt tailgate like a 200 series Land Cruiser, the Terra does not. While they might paint the black center tailgate...

Swing Arm but connected to bumper. The rear sheet metal mount way would be a bad idea.

several companies make hitch mounted swing away carriers also. that way no permanent mods to the bumper or metal

Keep in mind.....a spare tire is only to get you to a tire repair place or home. It doesn't have to be the same size as the ones you run. What's the biggest tire that will fit the OEM tire carrier? Use that as the spare. A flat tire happens, but it is actually a rare occurrence.

Not exactly true. It's gotta be the same or very close in height or you'll burn up your posi/locker/spider gears on the rear (or the front of a 4x4).

Yup. @Selo came out of the cheap seats for that reply.
To be fair though if it’s an open diff or unlocked front axle a different size tire is just an inconvenience and won’t wreck anything.

Just cuz every Altima you see on the road is running a tiny spare compared to the others doesn't mean you can on these trucks lolol
