I know a guy who got into a truck at about just after dusk one night to find a snake crawled across his foot. You can bet, he added a light under the dash. 2 like you did would be even better. I thought about putting them in the kick panels on each side.

4.10's and 31-33in tires are a great combo for that sweet spot with an OD Transmission. You're getting the better of both worlds. 35-37in tires with a 4.56 ratio, and 28-30in tires with a 3.42-3.73 are usually good combos.

so a 86 k10 with a stock 2006 5.3/4l60E out of a crew cab with 31" tires.....3.73 or 4.10? I'm looking ahead. LOL I think either will be a lot better here in Kentucky compared to 3.08 that I have now. Want to get the max gas mileage I can.

Thanks for your input HR

If it were 2wd, the 3.73's would probably do good too, but being a 4L60-E, I want all the strain off that transmission I could get and with 4.10's. Being that's really a 4x4, I'd go 4.10's cuz you might change your mind and want to go to 33's in the future too. If even think you might consider 35's someday, I'd go with 4.56's. JMO.

Installed a new ported vacuum switch I ordered from RockAuto. Next up is a new bezel which should be here this weekend.

Camar068-- My truck doesn't have a headliner or interior trim which would allow me to install a dome light. I've thought about adding some but I actually kinda like the old fashioned under dash light. I must admit I liked the earlier post with the additional lights underneath though.

Needed some cheap gauges because my water and oil gauges in the dash dont work and the gauges that were hooked up in it were broken and falling apart. So I picked up these Eqqus gauges and installed them!

Thought I'd share this.
I added 2 extra courtesy lights. I was able to splice into the original single floor light that's in the middle, and added additional lights on each side. Power is orange, then a ground (white) from each side to trigger the door ajar light to ground (left and right side door(s) have their own ground), and a third ground wire from the headlight switch to trigger interior lights when turned on by hand. I just grabbed two extra middle lights from the junkyard, adds quite a bit of light, and looks factory, mounted under dash like factory one is:

Looks good! Did you mount them up against the kick panels?
