I found a pic of the stock 1.5 din in a square, wasn't looking, but did just stumble upon it

Just ordered the Dynomax turbo muffler at 4 wheel online because I can't resist the good price offered by the sales rep.

got my speedo 95% figured out today, so now i am just going to drive it!

in the spring i plan to tackle the drivers side tank, going to put in a 20gal to replace the rotten 16 gal, that should fit no issues right?

oh, and i am not sure if it is the block heater, or the fact i have started the truck at least once every day for the last 4, but it starts awesome now!

should be set then. well you will need a wiring harness adapter if you don't have one already. but you probably don't plan to reuse the factory radio so could honestly just cut off the factory connector

The only thing I plan on reusing are the power wires
Everything else I'll pull new wire
So yeah I'll cut the old harness
Thanks for the help

- Intake manifolds installed; Then realized I have to remove the passenger side manifold again as you can't connect the pipe otherwise.

- Installed intake manifold then realized the intake won't work due to the year its meant for.

- Girlfriend said I need a new workbench and then when I was folding my table the top broke on it.

I gave up after that.

Nice. Did you have it cut or lengthened? Or just new U joints and balanced? It's been many years now, but IIRC, it seemed like it cost me $80 labor to have a 2pc driveshaft balanced, carrier bearing pressed on and my U join'ts installed. No length mods made. I bet it cost alot more than that now.

It's a new shaft from yoke to yoke and two new Neapco u joints. Went with non greasable joints. Stronger and I won't have to worry about greasing them. The slip yoke is not new. The original shaft had yokes that were pressed and welded, so the tube ends were flared and would have to be cut, leaving the shaft too short. So, a new 3" diameter tube with .083 wall thickness, a bit longer so it's the correct length now. Brought my old one in yesterday morning, gave the length for a new one and picked up the completed new shaft, balanced and ready to install this morning. $305.

- Exhaust connected (with great fun)
- Flex plate shield put back on
- New magnetic oil pain plug installed

And the biggest and most proudest thing after almost 4 months.... The truck sits on 4 rubber tires and the front ramps are gone. But now the truck looks sad due to looking like any other truck. Time to invest in a lift kit.

Put in new 4x10 speakers and a pioneer radio. Nice to have music again when i drive.

Front speakers sound blown, fader to rear for now. Maybe after i figure out the engine i will either get kicks or put some 6.5s in the doors. But for now it is a huge improvement over my 1 blown 4x10 i had before and a radio with a completely blown right channel, lol

Today I was able to finally diagnose and fix my fuel issue.

My truck stopped running and was getting no fuel and I was able to briefly narrow it down to the fuel tank selector valve. Since the primary tank mounts are rusted out and barely on, I only use the auxiliary tank. So I chased some wires and voltage and lucked out with only having to replace the selector switch ($12.99 @ Advance Auto). Got it in and it works perfectly. Now tomorrow I'll be working on getting the headlights fixed!
