I'll try to get a few shots tomorrow night. The reverse lights are definitely about 5x brighter, the parking lamps about 2x, the stop lights are also about 5x brighter. The blinkers and hazards have a much sharper cut(off/on) to them, I think its pretty cool.

Did you have to use an electronic flasher, or did the stock one work?

I had heard that the LED's would only work with a electronic flasher, my stock flasher works just fine.

If you leave the front turn signals as incandescent, then you don't need a new flasher. If you swap those to LED, there isn't enough load on the circuit so you get hyper flash.

Since getting my 1984 C20 I've replaced the partially triangular tires with round ones, the carrier bearing, both gas tanks, added dog dishes, put in an Eddie Bauer interior, I had the windshield replaced, new gauge package from LMC (New Vintage instruments), put in a box of course, carpet and insulation, replaced both rear brake cylinders, replaced the brake master cylinder, power door locks, power windows, dual batteries, I painted the bed with liner, replaced the water pump, rebuilt the Carter AFB, put in roller lifters, new heads because I kinda broke the old ones, aux lights in the bed and rear bumper, put in a blue tooth stereo, I've got a high output alternator, an aux fuse box, new steering wheel, fixed the a/c, turn signals, the wipers and the horn connections.

The box and painted bed.

Never trust Cracky do do anything beyond peeling an orange. No wonder full throttle was anemic!

New heads, push rods and roller lifters.

Here's the old water pump impeller.

And I learned the importance of connecting the charcoal canister correctly.

I've been doing all of my own work and learning quite a few lessons. Plus, collecting quite a nice shop of tools. My next long term project is a 1951 5 window Chevy 3100 with a 350 and TH400. Maybe I'll have fewer proble..."learning opportunities". Maybe.

I finally got 4 round tires that hold air on the C20. They're 2 different sizes, but hey, they got lots of tread and hold air.

ran to the big three here in town looking for 6-32 bolts for my warn locking hubs with no luck. I did talk to a guy at Advance that works with a guy (another business) that restores vehicles. Turns out he's done a few LS swaps on our trucks. I'll have to stop by and have a chat.

Living in the sticks like I do, it's great to come across someone like this. I did tell him about a few mods for his crewcab 2wd and about the site.

Finally received and installed my carpeting. I ordered from Classic Industries and it had been on backorder for three weeks. Very happy as I was concerned that the "charcoal" color wouldn't match. Now I just need to stay patient as my hood is being repainted, color sanded and cleared.
