So my truck is a 82 2wd. Everything stock suspension wise besides new shocks. As the truck sits right now it is completely level from front to back. However the truck is 1" lower on the drivers side compared to the passenger side. Any clue as to how this could happen? I want to lower the truck 4" all around because like I said it is already level from front to back so If I lowered the rear more like most on here do I would have a reverse rake. So should I lower the drivers side 3" and the pass 4" to fix this issue?

It depends on what you're doing as far as upgrades for lowering it, if you put new parts all around it should sit level. My guess would be the spring is sagged out a little.

Where is the gas tank, how big and is it full? That will cause a slight lean.

I think that would cause the whole truck to lean on the drivers side? Of course the leaf springs are sturdier, my opinion of course, but he said it was level all the way around except the front drivers side.

But it does depend on where he is measuring at too.

He said it's level front to back. It's the drivers side that's lower. Very possible the fuel tank is causing the old springs to lean.

Whoops:shrug: but yes sagged springs are most likely the problem.

I am measuring from level ground to center of the wheel arches. Always an inch lower no matter the level of gas in the tank. How possible is it that the front and rear springs are sagged EXACTLY 1"???

Planned on lowering 4" with shackles and hangers out back and springs and spindles up front.

It could be just the leaf spring sagging, which makes the front coil spring sit low because its not as solid as a leaf spring.

You can measure from the leaf springs to the fame on both sides to see if its sagged. Also from the lower control arm pivot to the ground to check the front.

Im betting its the coil spring also, mine was doing the same thing.

The top edge of the spring is collapsed and you wont see it until you pull it out of the upper control arm.
