I just disassembled a set that were seized on, took me roughly 2 hours and I was done both arms. I used a cheap air hammer and a bit of swearing. It really wasn't that bad.

I pressed them back in with a 'press' I made with a bottle jack and some scrap tubing. I have a couple pictures if you're interested in going the DIY route.

Since this question is here, my C10 lower control arms are also toast. I think my brother in law crashed into something as the tabs on the arms where the shafts go are badly bent. In my case, I really do think that I need new arms. Everything is rusted and buggered on mine.

So, to my point:

What actually are the differences between C10 and C20 lower control arms:

Can we buy C20 arms and press in C10 ball joints so that the C10 spindles can be used?
Does the C10 spring fit in the C20 arm?
Sway bar / shock mount locations are the same or not?

Thanks!

NO, C10/1500 Lower Control Arms will NOT interchange with C20/2500 LCAs. C20 will interchange with C30/3500's but not C10's.
