For 80's/90's era Chevy/GMC mirrors.

There is a torx head located on the bottom of the mirror base cover. I am sorry but my torx tool did not have the size marked on it but it is the next size up from a headlight adjuster size. Remove the screw. There should be a plastic sealing washer under that screw also.

There are steel clips in the top. Just pull the botom of the cover out over the screw tab and push up and it should pop out, be very careful the edge of the cover is sharp and can scratch the paint on your vehicle very easily.

You can swing the cover just enough to access the tension screws. There are two of them. You will need a 10 MM socket on an extension to reach in there and adjust. Adjust tension and replace cover.

I like those dumbo mirrors. Give great wide view behind you and are awesome for towing a trailer. But I get it, some people like those little boy mirrors. Not mentioning any names of course. I like a manly truck with manly equipment. :banana-mario:

I put mine on for looks. They definitely don't have as much function as the dumbo version:)

 I can USE the mirrors just fine thank you!! But I definitely wouldn't tow with them or anything. There's also this thing where you can actually look over your shoulder :flipthebird: It was 10 times worse when I ran without mirrors for about 6 months. Don't try that! It's a bit hazardous :whymewhyme:
