I'll have to do a "Glove Box Door Drywall Screw Removal" thread, haha...

You Probably need a new glove box door now, since yours has screw holes in it.

NIce!!!... I've had to do that same thing to my truck.... It was loose.. just tightened it up...(Step #7).. but figuring out how to take it off was a pain!! Didn't realize i could just tighten it back up
WHERE WAS THIS THREAD 8 MONTHS AGO!!!!!

Replacing my heater core was a whooole other story... cuz I had to remove my glove-box to get at that, (so figured I should should tighten up the latch since I had it off).... and OOOHHHH BOY was that a fun day, tearing into my truck to get the distribution box out, being a complete novice....!!!

Isn't it funny how one thing opens up about a dozen other projects...

Ahh, that's not bad. A little dab of drywall mud will patch that right up and then hit with some dupli color.

Well HR I went out to tighten up my lock, that went great. Started looking at why my defroster won't work, and broke our the bottom of the glove box, you know the hinge.

I don't think that was the intention of this write up :whymewhyme: I don't see any steps in there that stated "Break the bottom of the glove box door"

Nope, not good. But at least with the latch nice and tight now, you can still get it to stay in place instead of hanging open. But now when you open it, the door is going to come off in your hand. Its just a platstic hinge. But don't throw it away. You can find another glove box, and I thnk might have one, then you just transfer your door to it so they stay matching.

I wouldn't be able to stop there, I'd have to to a dashboard rebuild thread and add that to the other 16 projects, lol...

Duct tape has been know to work on those plastic hinges too. I just wouldn't tell anyone. Probably 2 or 3 layers of it if you can get the plastic to line back up real nice on the broken edges.

You need to get yourself some digital gauges in there during your dashboard makeover

Just going to replace it with a new one from LMC, or Classic Chevy.
