I repalced the bent rusty black front bumper with one I scored for $80 today. Also painted the Bowtie again since to PO blacked it out. Looks worlds better. I also painted up a set of steel wheels from an 04 silverado so I can get those put on.

Yeah that's a popular wheel and $200 is a steel unless the chrome is pealing!! A couple years back I bought a set of those for $500 and flipped them for $750 with no tires on them.

The crome was peeling but the tires were good. I just wanted them gone.

So I was thinking of looking for a different hood. The front edge is bubbling a bit so I figured I could take the opportunity to go with an HD hood off a silverado. I think it will look cool!

Well, obviously $200 was the ticket for that :D

Very popular mod to do and yes it looks awesome! The hard part is tracking down a hood :)

Yeah, looks like a little searching will be in order. I could always go new but really dont want aftermarket.

Yeah I'd just scour eBay, cl and the yards and hold out for OEM :)

Well, it's inspection time and as luck would have it the truck threw a check engine light for the MAF sensor. It has a cold air on it and it will throw the code when I am accelerating onto the interstate and hold the trottle at 50% too long. So, I cleared it on Sunday night and had the time to stop to get it tested today. It wasn't ready for testing due to the catalyst and evap monitors not ready. I decided to take it for a drive tonight to try and get them to set but no luck. In fact I got a 0420 code at the end of the off ramp so I had to clear codes again. I have untill Monday to pass or I will need to buy 30 days in the form of a temporary plate in order to keep driving and try to fix this or get one more monitor to set. I am allowed to have only one not ready and it sounds like my chances of getting the evap to be ready is pretty slim. May have to try one of the drive cycle outlines I have come across. I wish I wouldn't have procrastinated on this. I have never had trouble passing an OBD2 vehicle before....... Kinda pissed!
