I'll also add t this some old dana 44 flat top knuckles.

I need the PS for sure but if I can get a set that'd be fine.

heard a rumor you can ship a t-case viz ups or maybe fedex? I bet it'd be double oversized if so? I need to hit up their site ad check prices. That and put up a local ad to find me an old 208 t-case or even 205. Love to find a ps drop 241 to keep my speedo working.

I had a half empty 205 shipped through UPS to my house a couple years ago, it probably weighed about as much as a complete 208.

I keep forgetting I have some pictures of parts to show you. Feel free to remind me if I forget to send a PM soon.

awesome I look forward to seein some truck parts porn. LOL.

oh yea shipping a t-case thru ups anyways does work, I entered all the way up to like 150lbs. and it worked, but it's almost a dollar per lb to ship. Like an example a t-case from AR, to me weighing in at 100 lbs. was 93 or 94 bucks to ships, and 150 lbs was like $130 or so.

UPS does also have a Freight division. Chances are it's UPS that will do it. I've shipped a complete crated C6 via Freight company. Seemed it was only $80 to LooosyAnna. Also shipped those 2 big tires to OH via Freight Company. That was 200lbs for those 36x14.5 tires. That was like $110 IIRC.

alright got a lot of parts now thanks to Curt, crazyforoffroad and Andy aka bucket.

I now have a front axle complete, spare parts for it, sway bar, u bolt plates, u bolts, springs, crossmember, driveshaft, hangers, shackles.

So now I think the list is a transfer case and shifter with linkage, that's one thing for sure I still need, and then kleedus has found some front axle front hangers for me, so may not need them.

So for now the only other stock squarebody parts I need I can think of is a t-case and shifter with linkage, but Andy said he may have one later this year.

So was Nady a Typo, of is that what we call him from now on?

I might not want this SAS in a GMT400 to turn out to good. I'll damn sure do a 96-98 if I can convert it to SAS, especially knowing some lift is built into the swap. How about a D60 up front??? Or maybe a Dodge AAM up front with is the same as 14bolt SF 9.25 axle. And a 14B FF or SF in 6 lug if I could get 6 lug in AAM up front.

Be sure to post lots and lots of pics.

typo lol my bad.

not sure what you mean by you don't want this to turn out good.

as for a d60 yea they work just aint cheap. I don't wheel it so 10 bolts work fine being a mall crawler for me.

IFS works just fine for me, but I'm thinking I can do this sas for under a grand which is what the ifs lifts cost.

everyone says no way it can't be done, but I intend to prove them wrong, plus I can buy a little bit at a time. It's too hard for me to save money up it gets used on something else, something always comes up. But if I get some extra coin, buy what I want then I have it and it works out better that way.

As for right now the most expensive thing is going to be the knuckle for the ps or a set of 44 knuckles so they match, and then of course the steering, which is just dom tubing and I need some rect. steel.

If it turns out good, I might have to do it myself. I've already got to many projects. I know it can be done. I've seen a truck that it was done too. It was at a stop light across from me, so I couldn't stop the guy and check it out.

I've seen a couple around town the last few years and several swaps on the internet. Seems like there's a million ways to do it, the way you choose is simply determined by the parts you have to work with and what you are doing with the truck.

I'd love to have a SAS 4x4 Crew Cab Dually with a Vortec 454. 96-98. I'd prolly even do an X Cab 96-98 SRW SAS 4x4. Hmmm, or how about a GMT400 Tahoe SAS 4x4. Some ideas. But, that gets expensive, and I like the idea of cheap, interchangable projects. The one and only drawback to me and Squares, is cab room, or should I say leg room. Just seems the seat does not go back far enough for me to be comfy at 6'2 250-260. I'm find in X Cab GMT400's and even Standard Cabs.

I've seen soo many SAS's over the last few months, I even saw a guy take a stock gm 10 bolt, un tube it, flip sides and reweld it to make it a gm corp ds drop axle. I've seen gm 44 swaps, only a slight couple 10 bolt ones, tons of ford d60 ones, maybe 1 or 2 dodge d60 ones, some ford 44 ones, and a couple chevy d60 ones.

You know you can also use the Dodge AAM Fronts. Those are said to be, for front axles, as reliable as the Dana 60 fronts. The AAM is the same carrier and axles as the GM Corp 14botl Semi Float with 9.25in gears. I thought it would be a cheaper alternative. NO, it's also about $900-$1100 when you can find it.
