thinking of doing an SAS on my 88 gmt400, looking for an old chevy solid front axle, doesn't matter much what gears, or maybe even if things are broken. I'd most likely change gear ratio and can change parts if I can find them LOL.

Kinda need one close or somebody that might be passing thru or could meet up somewhere's within an hour or so of me. I'm in chapmanville or Logan county wv.

would also like to add that with this front axle I could use a set of the upper u bolt plates, the drag link that connects each knuckle, rotors, calipers, whatever comes with it, or if not then I would need them as well.

I also need a set of leaf springs from the REAR, some 52's. stock half ton 2wd or 4wd I think are the same, they'll be going on the front end, maybe even 3/4 tons as long as they are 52 inch springs.

I also need as in my other thread(mods feel free to combine) leaf spring hangers.

would like a set of rear axle front hangers, or even 2 sets of them.

rear leaf shackles

and maybe front axle front hangers.

I have both front and rear axles out of my Suburban, as well as the 52's from the rear. The driverside steering knuckle has already been donated, so it's gone. I only planned to use the rear, but If I can get enough $ to buy a gear set instead, then I have no problem unloading the whole shebang.

Have any 3.42 or 3.73 gears and carrier for a 10 bolt?

yea not being able to travel kills everything.

I don't need a rear bucket just a front, looking to do a SAS on my gmt400 and keep it chevy.

I could track down a knuckle on ebay or something if need be, but hangers of course I need as listed, and springs.

I would hate to see how much springs cost to ship, we had a set sent to use by fedex for the 86 lift kit we bought, rough country sent em unboxed, just a tag wrapped on them.

OK, then the front axle and rear springs are yours if you want them. If you aren't in a rush I'm sure we could get delivery worked out.

sounds great to me.

definately not in a rush, all the parts I'd have to gather and buy to make this work, plus fixing up our house too.

just let me know what you wanna do on delivery.

kleedus, no rush, get yourself better and get caught up on everything.

you find some shackles, front rear diff. hangers and maybe front front diff. ones, heck even 2 sets of the rear diff. fronts would work, do a redneck cheapo shackle flip out back.

well after learning the vss to cable thing aint that high in cost....

I'm thinking I could use a 208 or maybe 205, t-case and shifter/linkage

also could use a squarebody front driveshaft as well.

The t-case would be good but I can get by without it for now, just have it 2wd when I get the swap done. eventually depending on the direction I go though, a 208 or 205 would work. Personally I'd think 208 due to weight and should bolt right up. I know a 205 would too, but for either I need a crossmember too.

I'm not completely sure what all I may need to cut up and make work or which I'd definately use but if I can find it all and have it that would help alot.

so let me see if I can clear this up....

front diff. (bucket)
front diff. front hangers? (kleedus?)
rear diff. front hangers 2 pair(kleedus?)
rear diff. rear shackles(kleedus?)
rear 52's springs (bucket)
front diff. u bolt plates and alot of front diff things, bucket may have with it if not I need. like calipers, brackets, drag link from one side to the other, etc.
front driveshaft, I would think the flat flange cv type would be best?
transfer case 208, 241, or 205, as long as it's ps drop. I'd like a 241 ps drop but harder to find then a 208.
shifter and linkage for t-case as well.
trans/t-case crossmember, not sure if I'd need a tall adapter or short. I currently have a short one if that'd work. It's for a 700r4 or th350 to a 241c case.

I have a crossmember and extra TH350 to 205 t-case adapter. Pretty sure I have the knuckle Andy was talkin about that was missing on his front 10 bolt. Probably have the tie rod too, will have to look. And Andy if a front 10 bolt carrier is the same as a rear 10 bolt carrier I got one for ya. I'll have to look and make sure it's all there, has front cut 3.73s on it. You could drop the axle off here and Chris could pick it up next time he comes to town.

yea if you got the knuckle man that'd be great.

as for him bringing them to your place that wouldn't be so bad if I had something to haul it all in lol. my truck would, well I don't know, might be ok might not, also might eat the gas up too.

The lil' vibe wouldn't haul all the parts LOL, I doubt like last time.

If that works for Andy and it's th eonly way then I'll have to find a way there. I'd either have to talk the old man into it in his van, or see if the wife's cousin could bring the suv and trailer, same one who brought me last time. Take a look sometime Curt and let me know what you have.

I've got the tie rod and calipers too.

Curt's place would probably be a lot easier for me since he's right off the highway. Chris, you're kinda off the beaten path I'm assuming?

I think I Vibe could do it... I once had a guy drop off a front axle at my house in his old Escort, it was literally tossed through the back window, lol.

where I am exactly is kinda off, but I could easily meet you off of 119, which runs from basically over curt's way thru here. Like at a magic mart in danville, or there's a local wal-mart close and both are right off of 119.

we picked up a roll bar from curt's in the vibe, let down the back seat. The rear might fit, but wife's cousin has a trailer he hauls with a nissan suv.

On the other hand either of the places off of 119 I could easily meet you in my truck or in the old mans or his van.

Now if I could talk the old man into it he'd be willing to meet closer to curt, like alum creek or something I'd say in his van.

So it's up to you, the best bet for me would be off of 119 say magic mart of wal-mart. I could talk the wife or father in law or somebody into that pretty easy LOL.

I'm sure the vibe could haul it, I got the cherry picker to load it with. I'll dig around and see if I know anyone who could mule it from here down closer your way.
