So after trying 2 different styles of mirror from O'reilly's I have come to the conclusion that they dont have an aftermarket mirror that will work on the passenger's side of my truck. I went online and discovered that the CA regs only require a driver's side and a rear view (windshield mounted). So I have seen it done quite a bit where people shave the pass. mirror and just run driver's side and am kinda on the fence about the look of it. I think it looks clean from the pass. side shaved off but not sure about the non symmetrical look. What do you think?

I'm more in favor of the symmetrical look myself but it's not a huge deal. On my truck, I've got mirrors for a 73 and to be honest that pass side mirror is virtually useless so I mainly look over my shoulder when switching lanes and stuff.

I agree with the symmetrical look, but on my old truck I shaved the mirrors for a cleaner look. Never had any problems around here as far as traffic..cops..etc...

I had both my mirrors shaved for a while but didn't like driving without them. I guess they're a security blanket for me :baby:

NXTLVL The cops around here are straight ****'s so I wouldnt even attempt the no mirror look, may just keep my eye out for a small set in junk yards and stuff and rock the single mirror for now. I eventually want to use the ones from LMC that mount to the top of your door and hang over the window. OLD 77 I dont see any mirrors on your truck in the pics, do you have a pic with the style you have? Thanks for the input.

Old77 uses sissy mirrors. If you want a mans truck, put man mirrors on it, like you might be towing a boat or a trailer of ATV's. Of course the breakaways or pushaways work good for offroading in tight trails. I gotta have mirrors and I like the stock mirrors that O77 refers to as Dumbo mirrors.

I too like the symmetrical look, but I have considered just one mirror before to give it that muscle car feel. But I always opt for two or none it seems...

HRPC i just pulled the dumbo mirrors off they not such a good look for my hot rod theme although I have them on my big truck, GREENCOUNTRY yeah something like the first ones is probably where I will end up although the second ones would look awesome too. OLD 77 yeah I am thinking something like your mirors would be cool too.

I got them from LMC and they are the stockers for a 73. I'm sure you can get them other places as well and even find similar mirrors on eBay for pretty cheap....

Until I can find a set of 1990-91 power mirrors, I'm going to rock power dumbo mirrors. :)
