His favorite is Pop Secret!!

I think that instead of putting "popcorn" between the colons (":") we should just make it to where you type :89Sub: in there and the popcorn comes up :D

well let me see, have you switched the hei vac. line to the other side? one's ported or timed the other is full vac.

Have you tried the adjustable vac. can on the dist. like tighten or loosen the screw in it?

Have you tried to give it more base timing or less?

Your advice is exactly what my pops told me on the phone earlier, my dad suggested just try advancing the timing a little bit.

Im going to try it in the morning before I run around buying more ****.

Maybe I should break down and get a timing light ::D:

hardlly anyone uses a timiing light these days. I'd check to see if AZ or AA has one in their own loaner section.

you know I told ppl I don't use a timing light I do it by ear and feel and they looked at me and replied to me online like I was stupid.

Like WTF?? you can't do that you idiot.

Actually yes you can, advance the SOB as far as you can without getting sprak knock or pining at WOT, make sure the starter doesn't drag when you try to turn it over warm, and if not then it's about as close as you can get to being perfect, if it does drag retard it until it doesn't drag anymore.

I have been timing my truck by how it starts. I cant explain how, but I could tell which direction to go by the sound of it starting. Maybe this method is not the best way.

I usually just grab a hold of #1 plug wire, have someone crank the motor over, and I blink my eyes real fast while watching the timing mark on the balancer go round and round. Of course my vision isn't as good as it used to be, so now I paint the line with White Out. Then, if I am not getting shocked at just the right time when my eyes open on a blink and I don't see the timing mark, then I know its off and make adjustments and do it again.

Haha, I hope no one takes this advice literally and tries it.

Next time the wife wants a perm, you could always have her be the timing light. They usually don't paticipate well and if you don't blink your eyes fast enough, it don't work and you will set your timing wrong for certain. You know women, can't do much right. :shakehead::Insane::shocked::eek::Pshyco:
