I am only 15 lived in Florida my whole life but I just recently bought my first vehicle it’s an 84 GMC 1500 for $700 it was wrecked in the pass door and messed up the b pillar pretty bad, small dent in bed also but the frame was in great shape and there is zero rust on the truck which is surprising to me because it has been sitting since 08 (when it was wrecked). It was running then but who knows as of right now. I will have some pictures up soon cant wait to start this project.

thanks. Does any one know anything else with GMC on such as cosmetic stuff all i know is steering wheel. tailgate, grille, and emblems. the reason why i ask is i am going to convert it to a Chevy and trying to make sure i get every thing.

Yeah, that's pretty much it. Both my GMC's ended up being a Chevy just because that's what all my good parts were.

Thanks Bucket I am looking to put a set of 99-06 with the jump seat in the middle in there and I don't want to go with a blazer tank (just too expensive to fill up for me) I only have a single saddle tank what do you think is my best route I thought about a 180 turn do you think that would work or do I need to completely relocate oh and I also want to keep the stock filler tube spot if that helps.

You'll need to do the Blazer tank mod, the floor in our trucks has a hump in them for the saddle tanks and needs to be modified for the newer seats. Just don't fill it all the way up!! I've been wanting to either do a Blazer tank or 20 gallon fuel cell. Seems like when I go 4 wheelin the 16 gallon is cutting the limit of how much I can play in one night.

Yea i see your point i guess whatever it takes. Can i just put a chevy horn button in my existing steering wheel r do i need to change the whole thing out it looks like they match up but not sure.

I think the similar styles are the same, just be prepared to pull the positive wire off your battery if the horn gets stuck lol. I have Grant GT so I can't be sure what works.

yea i had a run in with that when i was helping my dad in my early teenage years he was in the cab and i was under the hood (not fun at all)

There were a few different style steering wheels used, but each version could have a Chevy or GMC horn cap.
