THE JL AUDIO MICROSUB ENCLOSURE!!!! I have one of these boxes behind my seat on a Phoenix gold sd600.1 and it freakin pounds. It's two ported 8w3v2's and I could not believe this was just two 8's. Best part is, my seat is all the way back! The subs only require .3 cubic feet ported, and it gets after it. I had a single kicker tc10 box behind the seat (one ported 10), and the MICROSUB obliterates it. Get one. You will love it.

you could always just make one like i did. I have 2 Sundown SA-10's (6" depth). You'll have to excuse the mess, I'm in the middle of redoing the interior.

It's mdf. Just looks different due to the fiberglass resin.

I made my own enclosure. ..it fits two Kenwood 12". I am 6' tall and 200lbs and I have plenty of legroom with the enclosure behind my seat. I am oldschool and just took measurements with my seat back to where I fit comfortably and went from there making the speaker enclosure. I am running 1000 watts bridged to the pair of 12"subs...and my back window vibrates violently along with everything else at mid volume level. It important to research bow much air volume each speaker needs to operate effectively when building any enclosure. Making speaker boxes isnt rocket science. And these Kenwood 12" are not slimline subs. I mounted them lower in the box and had to shave out about 1/4" out of the back wall of the enclosure for the magnets...not a big ordeal.

Personally, I'd either go with 2-10's or 1-12. The cab of our trucks are small and a little goes a long way. Plus, a 10 with go air space will hit as hard or harder than a 12 in a box that's too small.
Ive always been told a well set up 10 will out bang a 12 anyday. I had a single 12 audiobahn in the very back of my suburban and it banged hard. Ive thought about putting it in my c10 but ive only got a stock am/fm

I prefer 10s for actual music (not techno or rap or crap). They have punch and definition.

It was a little spendy but I went with the below and paid a little extra to customize it to make it shallower. If you give them your speaker specs as far as how much volume the speakers need and max measurements for how wide/tall/deep your box can be they can make you a nice one. Make sure you leave room for the throw of the sub. I can push my seat back all the way but when the subs hit hard they rub the back of the seat. I wish i would have gone 1" shallower on the box as I had to push my seat up one notch to avoid the rubbing.

Subs: Pioneer TS-SW2502S4 x 2 (10" SUBS)
