I cannot figure out why my dash lights aren’t working. The only one that works is my left turn signal. Everything is plugged in. I put on a new printed circuit board, new bulb holders and new bulbs. It started after I tried led bulbs. Nothing worked. So I got all new parts. Nothing. Help!!!! Thinking about buying a Dakota digital one but worried I might be wasting my money since things don’t work. Also my gauges don’t work. My fuel gauge bounced between half and 1/4, but since all this, nothing works.

While we wait for replies, did you go back to regular bulbs or are the LEDs still installed? LEDs do weird things to the parking light circuit I hear so maybe similar issues with the cluster.

Did you check the main harness plug behind the cluster to make sure it's plugged in tightly? If it was lights only, I'd say a bad headlight switch, but if guages aren't working, I'd check the main plug.

Always need to start by checking fuses. They're many different printed circuits for these trucks. If you change that, it is important make sure they are the same.

Were all the gauges and dash lights working before you changed things?

LED bulbs are polarity sensitive. If everything worked before you changed bulbs, pull the cluster and try flipping the dockets 180 degrees.

Or just go back to regular bulbs

Same here buddy - I have an 84k5 and my lights quit working after I tried LED's also worked great for a week and then bam - but my gauges do work fine. I went back to regular bulbs, checked all grounds, fuses, connections and they WILL NOT come back on. The only dash lights that does work are my turn signals. It sucks driving at night.
