I have a base model K30 and I want to install electric winds and locks. Who sells the best kit that has instructions that a child can use. I am somewhat mechanically inclined however I would not say I am a wiring expert.

Thanks,
Bigmark

Are you wanting to install original GM type motors, actuators and switches? Or just a universal type kit?

I have 4 doors from a Suburban that have all of the internal parts for the doors. I need a wiring kit that would work for the switches in the doors that go the the current fuse box (assuming that all the fuse boxes at the time a have a fuse for the doors and locks).

A complete Suburban donor harness can be removed and installed in a non-power truck. I've got no idea if an aftermarket replacement harness is available.

They are not all the same by year. You need, what fits whatever year burb you got the doors from. The motor wiring is VASTLY!!! different depending on year.

It's '81+ I believe. Which is by far the most common year range to find a Suburban with power doors.

Well whom ever had the doors clipped the wiring off at the boot. I will have to get some pictures so you guys can tell me what I have. The suburban doors came with a C20 4 door I bought. Since I am not in any way a body man, I came across a 4 door 86 K30 and bought it (The C20 is for sale at the moment), cool truck just more than I feel I can do.

Most all the original door harness wires have stress fractures in the conductors. You could find a good looking harness and just splice in the wire that runs thru the rubber hinge sleeve and be fine. If the insulations is cracked just replace it back to the fuse box. This adventure can get salty too with new motors, compatible switches and such.

I'll have to disagree with "most all". Common issue to look out for? Sure. But certainly not most.

So you have the power motors/regulators and just need to wire them up?
If so look up the wiring schematics on here or a Haynes manual has a good one. Find the schematic that’s right for your doors as the years differ as stated above.
Post the schematic and your questions about the schematic here.
Once you understand a wiring schematic (power door lock/window) is a simple circuit, you’ll have it wired up and functioning in no time.

I have a two door 84 C10. I recently replaced the original window and door lock harnesses with factory style harnesses from Summit. These were 99% exact match. Only difference was the Summit brand tag and the color of the insulator on the back of one of the connectors. Clips were in the correct locations, tape wrap was correct, and connector fit correctly.
