Whats it worth?

Ok i have a 96 honda foreman 400 4x4. I value it at around $1000. There is a guy who wants to trade me a 74 c10 long bed with a "just rebuilt" 396. He showed me a video of it running and it sounds good. Truck has a little rust but nothing serious. All the lights work, interior looks like it needs work. He says truck is completely driveable. Has a 3 speed and 3.73 gears. Just wondering if it is a fair trade? Seems like it is worth it to me.

if you got use for the truck it's a good trade. Last 396 I sold I got $800 out of. Last clean 2wd I sold brought $1800. There's potential to make a few bucks, or get something you can use more. Of course if you don't have anywhere to keep or sell the truck and use for 4 wheeler there's no real good deal there

Not sure but I think that, Your Foreman would be worth closer to the $3,000 dollar range, if it is in nice condition.
396 in a 1/2 ton sounds exciting, but, I think the three spd. might be lacking a bit in strength for a Big Block. might not, I`m not real sure on those matters.

I would be on that deal like flys on ****.

In this area a quad thats over 5 years old is just garbage, not that the machine isnt good. That stuff just does not hold value like a chevy pickup.

I agree with Jason, around here the quad would be worth around 1,000 and the truck 1000-1500 sounds like a decent deal

Thanks guys, the guy ended up backing out of the deal. Oh well maybe next time. I was looking forward to dropping a bb into my k10 haha
