Want to change out he 10 bolt rear end in my 87 1/2 ton GMC and put in a 12 bolt complete rear end. What can I pull this from? What years? What size should be? Any info will help..

What for? The truck 12 bolt isn't as strong as the car 12 bolt, and is comparable in strength to your 8.5 10 bolt. Your stock axle is fine for most 2wd 1/2 tons used on the street... unless you got real big plans or something.

Thanks for the info guys. I guess it just sounds better to say "its a 12 bolt" as the car shows... :)
