Not sure what is called, but it suddenly quit working. On the back of the gauge are three posts that press into the metal connectors on the back of the instrument bezel. There are only two connectors with an empty opening in the third slot. When I put a test light on one of the connectors with the ignition key on, it is getting power. Does this indicate the gauge is bad. Is there a way to test the gauge with a power supply, multimeter or ??

Thanks.

Bad gauge. Went to pick n pull, pulled another one, installed it and it works like a dream.

Nothing like a quick cheap fix.
