Vin help!

I bought a truck few weeks age with a title and bill of sale, and now i cant find the dang title, i never registered it and the guy i bought it from never had it registered either, could i still file for a lost title??

wont the dmv do it with just a bill of sale? ive never had a problem as long as i have bills of sales for all the changes of ownership

I doubt it if its not already in your name, i think theyre gonna hand you the paper and tell you to get the previous owner to fill it out

thats what they do in michigan. like when i got my 94. the previous owner died, and i bought it from her brother like 2 or 3 weeks after she died. with only a bill of sale. and her brother lives in seattle. so it was a sumbitch trying to get a title for that thing.
