I have an '85 K15. When I signal left or right, nothing happens, no flashing or light. But when I push the hazard button all four flash. Could it be a faulty signal switch?

Swap the flasher relay and the signal relay. They look like little cans on the fuse block. The one for the signals could be bad or missing.

Did it blow right away when you tested the blinkers or did it last while you tested them and then blew out later?

Reason I ask is because the backup light share that circuit. If the directionals work until you put it in reverse, the short will be in the backup lamp circuit.

You could unplug the plug on the column and put a fuse in and see if it blows. Then check continuity on the turn signal switch. It may be grounding up in the column.
