Ok I did an 4.8 LS swap on my 84 k5 Blazer (not bronco) now I just need to figure out what tranny would work with this swap.
Specially since about a month ago I went mudding, got stuck in a 3 ft hole. Cracked the transfer case, on my way home truck started shaking, ends up the transfer case broke in half, fell off and took the tranny tail, and the rear drive shaft along with it. Now I just need to know what tranny and transfer case can I use for it to work properly. Or would it be better to just go electric?

Thanks in advance.

If you just want a working trans again, you can go with another 700r4/np208 (or do you have the th350?) but this time with a skid plate.

Depending on what your previous trans/tcase was, and whether or not the driveshafts were original, it's possible when the suspension compressed either the front or rear driveshaft hammered the tcase. Might need to see if your suspension travel is too excessive and make sure your bumpstops are doing their job. Depending on your lift they might need relocated.

Could also go with the 4L60-E if you're needing the LS bell housing, and the NP208 or NP241 with the VSS.
