There are bits in different threads. Esentially, early diesels(91 to about 94) had stand alone computer. There are also aftermarket systems available.

mechanically, 3/4 burb from 91 has all the components needed for the swap. Otherwise need to install VSS on existing transfer case and adapt the transfer case to use with 4l80e
