Alright well I'm planning on getting a 12 inch lift for my truck. I want to run 44's, at least thats what i think anyway. But the super swampers come 44x19.5. and to me 19.5 seems pretty damn wide. Do you guys think that my truck will be able to fit on the street?

Yes, it will fit on the street. Your bigger concerns will be driveshafts and steering, have you given any thought to that part of it? Your front 10 bolt axle won't like you either, but it should be OK if you just drive on the street. A 12 inch lift is going to ride like a log wagon too.

Oh yeah, gearing. Do you know your current gears or do you plan to re-gear?

Yeahh i know what all my concerns are, and what its gonna take for the most part. Iv had lifted trucks before. Just never ran anything over 38's. and they were 14 in wide. But never owned a chevy which I'm stoked about, and 19.5 just seems really wide. But haven't looked much into axle swaps for the trucks. Divorced or married tcase. and all the other stuff its gonna take. Still doin the research on these beautiful chevys :p . I just know i wanna go bigger then iv gone before.

The width of the tire itself doesn't make the truck a whole lot wider, but the rim width and backspacing has a lot to do with it also.

There's I guy I know in south Columbus that is selling a pretty decent '80 K5 with a th400 and no motor, for $950.

It would be a while before I could get it. Might hold off and keep saving my pennies and the right one will come along when I'm ready for it! Thanks for the offer though ole buddy!

I don't know, but 44's sound great, however, 38's rolling on a 6" lift with no sway bar sound's crazy right?
