Tailgates

So on these tailgate bands, I have a wide Chevrolet and a narrow one. The wide has dents and the narrow is really nice. I am in Idaho 83672 so shipping would probably kill it for distance. What are they worth ?

I'd like a band for mine but, can't get my hands on one. Lmc wants $230 for one. And that's the small one too.

Whats the difference between wide and narrow (besides the obvious)? The pic on their site looked like a full sized (height) band.

Think I'll just keep waiting on a used one. If I was building a show quality truck I'd probably buy it then.

I couldn't find a good picture on the web, but here's a picture of my '87 GMC in 1989. The Chevy lettering would be on the right vs. the left on a GMC. All '87 Chevy's should have a Fuel Injection emblem on the left of the tail gate above the band. On my GMC it's the rectangular line on the on the right.

Thats one of the best of gmc ive seen my friend, hold onto that one itll be worth $50,000 as is.....

Got one a couple of years ago at the junkyard, happened to be there when it came in almost perfect only paint and a very small nick under the G only 10 dollars!!!

My 84 Sierra 2500 is as bare bones as they come. No dome light, manual windows and locks, and plain white. Just the way I like it. However I scored a tailgate band from a Silverado on a ranch, took off the CHEVROLET emblem, and added 93 GMC Sierra badging just to dress it up a bit. The current tailgate was one the guy I bought the truck from threw in and it's a Chevrolet tailgate. Not the greatest but it adds about 1% more class to the truck, lol
