Suburban Factory Roof / Luggage RackBars

Hi there,

I just bought a 1991 Suburban that has the factory equipped chrome roof bars but is missing the middle support on each side so the bars seem really week. Does anyone know of a source where I can get those?

Seems like there's been at least two or three Suburbans parted out by GMSB members so someone might have them. I got a couple of rack bits from @HotRodPC, maybe he can help when he sees this. I would add "Suburban" to your thread title to help catch their attention.

I found a whole rack for sale that is virtually identical. The third picture shows the peice that mine is missing.

Sorry I'm late to the party. Have you got this resolved yet? I've edited the thread title for you.

I still have the roof rack off a 91 other than the pads I sent to skysurfer. Seems the one I had though only had had mounting brackets at 4 corners. I'll check it out and see what I have. That one pictured on the ebay ad seems different than the 1 have. I know some where aftermarket.

So I found a pic of it. I guess it do have the middle supports but I'm not so sure it's the same type or brand as yours.

Come in @aglinks Lemme know about this rack if you got it resolved or not. I may very well have the parts you need. This being so hard to ship, I don't see me selling it and shipping it, so it just might end up scrap metal unless I get a few bucks for it locally. Only thing missing is the mounting pads and screws that I shipped to skysurfer but rack is all there with all 6 mounting feet. I also did not get the support strips off the roof of the Burb if it had any, but the rack itself I have.

You mean these??? Look over the pics and make sure again. If they're the right ones you should have the 2 holes drilled in the bottom of your long rails. Here are some pics I took taking them off so you see the procedure. And it appears you'll have to whole rack off to install them so you have access.

If you're 100% certain it's the right parts, send me a Hamilton to cover the shipping and ******** to get it to the post office. I don't have all the fancy stuff like a printer and such that I used to, so I have to do it all the old fashioned way. Stand in line at the PO and all that BS.

Anyone else needing parts off this OEM Suburban Roof Rack? Sky got the pads between rack and roof, aglinks is taking center supports. Still have the long rails, front and rear cross rails and the 4 corner supports. It's about ready to get **** canned pretty soon so speak up quick if you need anything left of it.
