PB Blaster with a hammer head on a hammer gun works most every time. Agree, heat will go against you if you go too far. Rattling the **** out of the arm is the answer.

It worked for me 2 times to hit the arm sideways near the bolts with a bfh. At least 4 pounds and hit it hard.
