I’ve heard the terms “frame off” and “body off” in reference to restos. Are they different? Which is correct? I’ve typically used the term body off. Whenever I’ve restored a vw, Porsche or now my truck; the body comes off.

Just curious...

I think of "frame off" as a bare frame only, ready for media blasting and repaint.

Changing all the bushings so I will get it down to just the frame soon, which I already started sand blasting.
