SPID No Paint Color?

Apologies if this has been asked and answered already. I've searched the forum to no avail. I'm looking for the paint codes for my truck and the Service Parts Identification Decal (SPID) doesn't list them. Questions:
1. Anybody know whether/when/why Chevy wouldn't have listed paint codes on the SPID?
2. If the codes aren't on the SPID, is it just a best guess at that point?
