At the 2024 show we bought a new but dented LMC fender off a guy at the swap for $25. Had a few dings and we all know about the fit, but it was fine for a daily driver. I bought another scratch and dent LMC hood at the swap meet this year for $70. It had the year specific molding in front for the 78-80 trucks. It was brand new and again, damaged in shipping. So, what the heck, I walk over to the LMC booth on vendor's row and ask about their fenders. They have one RH fender for a 79 in stock. I ask to see it out of the cardboard before I pay for it. I told the salesman I've heard stories about LMC fit and finish and damage during shipping. He says "If I won't put it on my own truck, I won't sell it." Lol.
He opened the packaging and sure enough, the fender was dented in two places. He offered to knock $50 off the sale.
Sheet metal from AMD seems to be the better choice.

It was hot but had a good breeze all day. Beer. Walk around. Eat. Beer. Walk around. Great day overall. Definitely worth the trip. My buddy Dan, who had never been to an all day car or truck show was funny. "This is my favorite", "This is my new favorite", and so forth- fifteen times. He needs a classic truck.
Nice rig !
I'm still surprised it didn't rain on us at some point during the trip or show.
