I looked at the pictures of how you removed them. I did the same thing on my first one - you basically are beating on the end of the spindle to get it removed, right?
That doesn't really work, I found what works great is getting a 3-4" wide chisel, and driving it between the lip of the spindle and the assembly it fits into. I hammered on the end of first spindle for hours before I got it out the first time, I tried the chisel and got it out in around 10 hits, the 2nd one was the same way. I remembered it when I did my new front 10-bolt rebuild and it worked again.
I actually have a pair of good front spindles, but they are part of an entire front axle assembly and its winter out here in Iowa, and I just don't have the time right now to tear it apart.
I would suggest looking for another front 10-bolt on craigslist or something, they seem to be out there from time to time.
