Roof rack mount help...

Hi all!

I have a 1986 GMC Jimmy, with a removable roof. A buddy of mine has a roof rack/basket he is willing to part with for my build, but I'm not sure how to attach the basket to the removeable roof. It doesn't appear that there are stock mounting holes, or side rails to clamp too.
Any suggestions for how to mount a roof basket or roof racks to mount a basket to, short of drilling holes in the roof?

Its hard to say without seeing any pics of the rack and its mounting points.

Drilling holes is what most guys do, but not something I would do. The only other thing I could think of is fab up some sort of cage that bolts underneath the top and goes around it to hold the basket, but that's wayyyy overkill.

Also, unless you're like 8ft tall, a basket up there is gonna be more trouble than it's worth IMO
