I like the idea of pulling something out of a 2002 variety gmc / chevy pickup. lots of padding in those 1999-2006 years.
(cheap out of pick / pull,....and plenty of rust buckets to be had with mint interiors).

If the truck is from an era that had high backs from the factory, then it doesn't bother me one bit.

I'd agree with that. Or of it's a dedicated race truck. Otherwise, they should stay below the window.
