Hi everyone,

I’m looking into doing a CCV (crankcase ventilation) reroute on my vehicle and wanted some advice before starting. My main goal is to reduce oil vapor buildup in the intake and keep the turbo/intercooler cleaner.

I’ve seen different setups using catch cans, filters, and rerouted lines to atmosphere or back into the intake.

What are the pros and cons of each approach, and are there any long-term engine risks I should be aware of?

Also, does a CCV reroute affect emissions testing or drivability in cold weather? Any tips, diagrams, or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated.

Also, does a reliable Duramax CCV reroute affect emissions testing or drivability in cold weather? Any tips, diagrams, or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated.
thanks in advance for any help
