Factory had a piece that goes over the striker, still sold at parts stores. Helps the doors close without slaming. Pex pipe can do the same thing

Will have to look into this, as I have to slam the damn doors,thank you!

While you're looking, look at the door hinges. Most striker problems start with the hinges wearing out and the door sagging.
