Went to Advance to get this to get rid of that tired, chingy, clunky sound when I shift. I thought it was easy enough to install, but there was a lot of back and forth slop with how it fit in the bracket. The actual rod went in there tightly. After a few shifts, it sheared one of the edges off the grommet and spit it out so back to the same ole same ole. I know, what are you supposed to expect for a three dollar part, but now I need to go back adjust my linkage for trying to make things a little better. That's the real pisser. What have you guys used to correct this problem? They show another one, which also allegedly fits that I'll attach after this POS, but I don't see how it's supposed to work in that bracket.
