Pics of tailgate band mounts pls

I need some pics of tailgates with mounts for wide and slim bands please. measurements would be cool as well.

Are you talking about where to drill the mounting holes? The mounts are part of the tailgate band.

Here's a small band for a 73-80 GMC gate. Overall distance from outer mount to outer mount is 57.5". The middle mounts are 28.5" apart. My mounts are off center from the factory by about 1/4", but that could be corrected easily. Do you need a band? I got this 5-6 years ago for my last project and never installed it prior to selling it. PM if you're interested.

How do they come off the tailgate? My band is falling off and id like to fix it

On the slim band, there are the 5 screws that hold it on to the gate. In photo 3, you can see a small pinch in the aluminum band that holds the metal mount. It seems you could easily pry the band apart to release the mount.

Just to explore i took mine off. And yes it just needed repinched. Interesting note... i wasnt expecting to find the embossed chevrolet under there

On my 78 big band theres 5 screws through the tail gate. Your small should be the same but im unsure.

I can't read the one sticker, but I love the bumper sticker on the passenger side.

Its actually a magnet lol but the other one says "i used to be ******* stupid, but then we broke up" lol

The small band mounts the same as the larger one pictured above. I would make a cardboard template to mark the holes.

It was factory covered up lol but im so used to the aluminum band that without it i feel it looks odd. Lol

Putting ArmorAll or similar on it every so often will help out the appearance of it too. It hides the milkiness that they all get.
