so i think my chain is slipping its making a popping noise under a load
should i try to fix my tcase or be better off finding a used one thats part time or full time... will i need adapters and drive shafts if i get a part time i already have manual front hubs

your truck is an 82, It shouldnt have a NP203 I think it should be a NP205,
unless someone put a 203 in it for some un known reason,

for what it would cost to rebuild your 203 it wont be worth it, you should be able to find a used 1 for 50 bux, Hell I have a rebuilt TH350 with a NP203 married to it for $100.00

Its really not that bad just the thing is i dont have a vehicle that is good on gas to drive that far lol

1981+ 205s are in 1 tons only, except the M1008 which got a 208 like all 1/2 and 3/4 ton trucks.
