Just take your time. I was wheelin the piss outta mine last year, wearing out u-joints every time out, or breakin other stuff. End of last summer I decided to go 1-ton and I'm still not there yet lol. Just doing a couple hundred worth of mods a month. I'm gettin close though, getting very anxious! I think I'm gonna need head rests on my bench seat to keep from busting the back window out with someone's head, I think it's gonna have a lot of snap with those gears.

Welcome to GMSB pbritchie. Whoever told you Th350 is junk to run a 700r4 obviously doesn't build transmisisons. If you're running a tall tire, like 31 or taller, just stick with the Th350. And for a 38in tire, you'd kill a 700r4 in very short order and wouldn't even be able to use OD. It is stronger than the 700r4. You can do a couple mods to it for cheap, where a 700r4 you'll need to do mega mods that aren't so cheap. And no matter what you do to a 700r4, you still have the weak vane pump where the Th350 uses a crescent and gear pump. Difference is night and day as far as strength.

That rearend looked damn good. Def going to copy you on that. Figured I can snatch the brakes off my frontend to donate to the new rearend...just means the truck is going to be out of commision for a little while.

Thanks man but you're gonna have to get some pics in your profile of yours! We love truck porn here, engine porn, carnage porn, etc. Never know what you might inspire others to do with their rig. As for the brakes I lucked out and had a lifetime warranty receipt for calipers, and scrounged up some old ones from my junk pile to swap for new ones. When I took them in the guys were laughing and asked what swamp I pulled them out of lol.
