Take it to a shop preferably a gear shop and have them press in a new bushing for you. Its just worth the $50 not having the hassle. Buddy probably broke it in the first place trying to put one in himself.

I have a slip yoke tail shaft housing for a 205 I took it off and put a fixed yoke on

that's what I recommend you do but if you end up needing a tail shaft housing I have one

appreciate it. sadly, i purchased one already. i'm not mechanical at all but learning.

could you explain what the benefit of changing it to a fixed yoke would be? i'm not even sure what it does.

thanks!
