Im guessing it got stuck badly at one point and they hooked a chain to the cross member and got a 14 mile running start at it to perk it out of the mud
well...2wd belongs...on pavement with the corvettes.
those are some great looking rims,... (I think western turbines of the period are prettier,...but yours are nice too)

i see it on bring a trailer...seller should have had reserve,...looks like a nice survivor. 47 years old this month.

I can remember those in catalogs around in the late 80s / early 90s,...an interesting alternative vs. cutting into a door only to soak the back of a speaker with rain water and dampness....but

the ladies say I am a big man from the waste down. :33:
long legs and big feet, my feet are too big to be wiggling them past them things climbing in and out, I would certainly mash a grill with a toe or heel....or just trip on the thing trying to get out./ fall out.
