New head unit turns on and then right back off.

Update: it was the red wire. The head unit didn’t stay on long enough to turn amp and sub on.

Thank you guys for your help.

Has anyone ever used strong velcro to stick amp and sub to back of cab?
Would probably work until the adhesive got warm/hot and softened up.

I thought it was going to be also, but a distribution block made it simple.

Check out what I found while hunting for wires under the dash. Lol

Yeah, red wire ALWAYS needs to be hooked up. Yellow & Orange wires are usually smaller because of their purpose also.

I just finished mounting a small amp to the back of the cab in my 86 K1500 using 3M double sided tape, amp is bolted to two pieces of 1/8 x 2 aluminum flat bar, tape is on flat bar. Seems to be very secure.
