Hi folks! I'm new here...I recently sold my 2013 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD Extended Cab Long Bed W/T and bought a 1976 GMC Sierra Classic. The other truck was difficult to park and too complicated to work on! Plus I have a family now so I'm not buying/selling/towing older cars nearly as much as I used to.
So far on the GMC (it only has 36K but sat for many years) I've replaced the shocks, tires, brake pads, rotors, rubber brake lines, master cylinder, proportioning valve, radiator, sending unit, fuel tank, radiator hoses and thermostat. I've also replaced the original radio and speaker with a CD player and some nicer speakers. Driven it 500+ miles so far and it's going good! I have an electrical short that's continually blowing the fuse that operates the tail lights, which is very irritating, but other than that it's doing great and runs like a champ. I've already gotten help from some other member diagnosing an issue I had with the brakes locking up and they were extremely helpful. I'm glad to be here!
