Hi everyone.
I've been reading this forum for a few weeks but just finally joined. 2 weeks ago I bought a 79 c25 camper special. 350 sbc with a turbo 400, 4:10 gears with a locker. Everything is stock from what I'm told. Bottom end rebuild in 1999, with paper work proof, new battery, radiator, wheels and tires. Has the typical cracked dash, tired seats and paint with some dents and minor rust. There is only one hole, in the driver floor about 3" wide, not bad.
I've been looking for a good truck for over 2 years and think I finally have one to restore. So far I have put on a new front bumper (there wasn't one) and started making new break lines.
But, I am having an issue with high oil pressure. I have done way too much reading tonight and was hoping someone else had an answer I can't find.
On cold start up the gauge reads 60psi and it stays up there most of the time. When warm it drops to about 57. Is this too high, or should I just be happy it's not low?

Thanks.

Howdy!

Don't worry about the oil pressure, it's common to install a high pressure pump during a rebuild/overhaul.

I hope that's the case. Thanks.
